There comes a point on the journey when the path becomes unclear. When what you knew starts to fade away.
When the path disappears, the path begins.
A focal point (no pun intended) of my travels has been my contacts. Both literal and metaphorical. The people you meet along the way are important and being able to see is even more important. When my contact supply and vision for direction started running low, I decided to return home to reset.
It was recommended that I come in for a comprehensive eye exam so I obliged, trusting that there was more to it than meets the eye. The doctor recommended I have my pupils dilated.
“Your vision will be blurry and your eyes sensitive to light for awhile”, she said. “It will clear up throughout the day.” There was the message.
I surrendered to the blurriness and lack of clarity and allowed the vision to develop on it’s own.
Thankfully, I was going to a dimly lit place after the doctor. A spa set up with rooms for relaxation, detox, rest, and meditation. I have found that it is in the moments when I’m not forcing, not putting pressure on myself, that revelation occurs.
As I lay in each healing room, my vision for my life, my work, my relationships became clearer. Images that were once blurry became more visible in my mind. While they are not tangibly in front of me, I can see them. Vision.
By the end of the day my sight was restored to normal and as I was getting ready to leave, I met a woman. A Light. A manifestation of one the visions I had for an aligned connection. Vision turned to Sight.
I learned today that vision and sight are separate. Vision is what we can imagine. Sight is the manifestation. In order to have sight, you must have vision.
I am seeing more clearly now. Able to see ahead and continuing to sharpen my vision.
May this serve as a friendly reminder to check in on your vision, both literally and metaphorically. You never know what it could lead you to.
Take good care, Friends.
